What are the system's key features?

• You will select SECTIONS and not courses. You can build the class schedule you want, and you can do it now.
• You will register in priority order. Students with more earned credit hours will register first.
• You will register on the Web. When the date and time on your registration Time Ticket arrives, you can register at any time and from anywhere you can get to http://sis.rpi.edu. When you finish, you can print your schedule-and you're registered!
• The system is very flexible. You can find information and make trial schedules on line. It will, of course, stop you from doing the impossible-like registering for two sections that meet during the same hours.
• Registration is almost paperless! You will need special forms--and signatures--to register for independent studies and some limited enrollment courses. You will be able to direct the system to print the authorization forms for you. You won't need your advisor's signature to register. It is important, though, to follow the curriculum templates published for your major. See your advisor to discuss your needs and choices.
